Not quite two months after the unexpectedly successful launch of the Commander series, I launched the successor “Downfall” in German. Already in the first week, it earned the sales of the first volume of the first 14 days. Reviews still come in slowly, but still, the response is great. Several times both titles were close to reaching the top 500 of the Kindle charts.

For a work from the sci-fi genre, this is not a bad performance. The print version has also been available for 3 days now and in the meantime, several bookshops have some copies in stock, which makes me extremely enthusiastic. Now that I have seen that my former hobby is actually bearing fruit, a fire has been kindled inside me.

By chance, in the course of my normal work through a colleague, I came across an online tool that can translate large amounts of text into other languages at very high quality and at extreme speed. Since I’m not a native English speaker, but I’m fluent in it, I was able to do an English translation of the Commander’s first volume in a single week and check it grammatically using another software.

As soon as my English cover is ready, I will be able to distribute the title internationally and hopefully expand my readership exponentially. After moving from kevingroh.de to omni-legends.de, I’m also building an English version of the website to make the additional information, short stories and the Omni Wiki available to readers in other countries.

I am currently extremely busy, but I firmly believe that I am now laying the foundation for something big, because I am even thinking about turning my works into audio books in German and English. Either professionally, or I do it myself. How do you like the idea?
